Dogging in Scotland

This is the most up to date resource on where you can find go dogging in Scotland. It is fair to say dogging in Scotland is popular but is of course weather dependent. Also, Scottish doggers tend to be real exhibitionists.

Aberdeen Dogging

Counteswell Car Park which is opposite the horse riding stables, where you can get up to some horse play of your own. The car park is quite secluded and women often get out of the cars and flash their bits! It is a good location to try dogging in Aberdeen, and is well hidden from the road.

Dundee Doggers

Templeton Woods is the Dundee Dogging spot. It's not far from Camperdown - and there is a double entendre joke in there somewhere. To get there take the Couper Angus Road out of Dundee. There are lots of good vantage points and picnic benches and trees that come in handy for leaning on, both for the participants and the voyeurs!

Edinburgh Dogging

  • First port of call for Edinburgh doggers is the lower car park at Muiravonside Country Park which offers good and frequent dogging action.
  • Longniddry Bents car park also known as Nerdie Bents. Head out of Edinburgh on the A1 heading south and take the coast road to North Berwick, where you will find three car parks just after Seton Sands Caravan Park. We are reliably informed the third car park is the best, with occasional "spill over" into the second.
  • The lower carpark over Braid Hills near to the footpath onto the golf course on the Fairemile side. This is a small secluded car park which attracts risque Scottish doggers.
  • Silverknowes and specifically the part of Marine Drive that goes nowhere - from the roundabout at the Tea Room the road just doubles back on itself. There is some action in the wood where the road turns, and most of it is car based, on the side where people park. It is a popular Edinburgh dogging spot, just by the water and attracts a real mixture of people. We have been told that when this place goes, it goes with a bang!

    Glasgow Doggers

  • Cathkin Braes on that little single track back road that takes you to East Kilbride.
  • Parklea, Port Glasgow. Coming from Glasgow on the last roundabout before Port Glasgow take the third exit and at the bottom of the hill take the left turn into the park. Plenty of parking bays here with varied action.
  • Mugdock Country Park. North of Glasgow, beyond Bearsden/Milngavie, occasionally couples showing and sharing! There are four car parks here. First, just north of Milngavie off the road beside and to the west of the reservoir. Second, a third of a mile past this to the left on a bad bend going uphill. Next, back onto the road going uphill, past a small hamlet past two right turns and off to the left. Three distinct car parking areas. Good sightings, though the geography not conducive to nocturnal natural light. Lastly, and also off to the left and beyond the outdoor centre is the Khyber Car Park, although this car park often closes early, so don't get locked in

    Hamilton Doggers

  • Strathclyde Country Park, near Hamilton just off the M74 at Motherwell. Try the rough car park behind the Ferris wheel. At night, at weekends there are a few couples putting on shows, occasionally with some interaction. There are about ten different car parks so you have to keep moving to catch the fun. You can also try the RSPB nature reserve (Barons Haugh) in Motherwell, where couples sometimes go after meeting up in the park itself, depending on their mood, and of course the weather.

    Inverness Dogging

    A great place to go dogging in Inverness is Culloden car park. It's just to the east of Inverness. It's down a nice quiet little country lane so you don't need to worry about disturbing anyone.

    Peterhead Dogging

    A secluded car park with lots of well hidden areas in the woods called Lenabo Airfield and Forest, is the place for Peterhead doggers to hook up.
