Devon is the fourth largest county in England and is populated by over a million people. In amongst that million you will find some who have a secret - they enjoy dogging. Hence this dogging in Devon guide.
Exeter Dogging
Coming from Exeter, go up Haldon Hill towards the Race Course. Take the first left after you pass the Little Chef on your right. Go along a narrow country lane (which runs alongside the race course) for about half of a mile. A car park will be on your left and pull in. No doubt you will see other Exeter doggers there.
Paignton Doggers
Take the road to Brixham and just before the Windy Corner traffic lights turn left by the shops and follow the road down to the car park. Alternatively walk to the grassy headland between Broadsands Beach and Elbury Cove for your Paignton dogging action.
Plymouth Dogging
Plymouth doggers head for Jennycliff car park which can be found on the outskirts of Plymouth at a place called Hooe, which is to the south of Plymstock. You are looking for the large car park next to Jennycliff Cafe where you can enjoy the views of Plymouth Sound and the views and sounds of Plymouth doggers.
Torquay Dogging
Watcombe Beach car park is the top spot for Torquay doggers. You need to take Watcombe Beach Road and the car park is on the left, just before the dead end road sign.
Tiverton Dogging
There is a layby on the A396 just past Bolham. Go into the layby and you will find a lane which goes down beside the river and you will soon come across an old barn. If you have ever fancied some outdoor farmyard action, this is the place for you.
Tavistock Dogging
Tavistock doggers use Lydford Forest. Turn off the A386 to Okehampton by the Dartmoor Inn and head into Lydford. At the crossroads turn right for approx 800 yards and turn left following the signposted Forest track as far down as you can. You will reach a wooden barrier and if you want extra privacy lift the pole and drive further down the track until you reach a clearing. Only people who are in the know will be there.
